This product update contained: Backend enhancements so that the event series process makes better use…
We are excited to announce the launch of the ResultSheet API (Application Programming Interface), enabling other systems to publish rider results into an event. This has numerous uses, the obvious one being chip timing.
Organisers set up their ResultSheet event in the usual way and then enable it for use by the API. This generates a secure passcode specifically for that event, ensuring that only the external system being used by the organiser can update event results.
When a rider has completed the event, the external system can then call the ResultSheet API, passing details of the secure passcode, rider number and result. This result will then appear in the ResultSheet results pages in the same way as if manually entered, with all calculations against VTTA standards, Age Adjusted Times and Spindata predictions performed automatically. Both Actual Time and Watch Times are supported.
The event organiser still has full control over the event details and can override results at any time from within the ResultSheet app.
Details of how to use the API are here.
