Over the last week, we received a number of reports from event organisers that the results file created by ResultSheet for sending back to the CTT was being rejected due to missing data.

We investigated the export file format and found the following issues:

1. The unique number that is associated with every CTT event rider entry was missing
2. The rider position data, i.e. where they placed in an event, wasn’t always present
3. It was possible to produce the export when some riders didn’t have a result. The CTT requires a result for every rider for the file to be processed correctly

The following steps were taken to correct the situation:

1. The unique “entry ID” number wasn’t being sent to ResultSheet when start sheets were being uploaded from the CTT website, so the CTT updated their API to make this information available
2. The missing rider position information was also fixed
3. ResultSheet will now ask the user to ensure all riders have a result before creating the export file
