A video overview of the HQ report for larger screens can be found here and details on how to configure the report can be found here.
To show live results on a larger screen or projector, perform the following:
- Using a computer rather than mobile device, go to the list of events on the ResultSheet website: https://resultsheet.co.uk/events/
- Select your event from the events list. This will display the results in a format suitable for a larger screen
- Plug your laptop into an external screen or projector as required
- Options to configure the report are available by clicking the “Configure” button in the report footer, see below for further details
- Filtering by machine type, competition and showing VTTA or Spindata results are also available in the footer
- You will not need to touch the computer, results will refresh automatically. Therefore, switch off any screen savers so that the results stay visible whilst the computer is not being used
Note for iPad users
If using an iPad to power the larger screen, sometimes results may be cut off around the edges. In order to address this, adjust the iPad zoom level for ResultSheet by tapping the “aA” icon to the left of the browser address bar when looking at the results and selecting a zoom level of 85%.
Report configuration
Clicking the “Configure” button in the report footer offers the following options:
- Show QR code: Unticking this option will hide the QR code
- Auto scroll: Ticking this option will enable the auto scroll feature. When selected, the report will cycle through rider results one page at a time. The number of pages scrolled to will increase as the number of results entered increases. Columns will scroll independently, e.g. if there is more than one page of Male riders but only one page worth of Female riders, only the column showing Male results will scroll
- Consolidate results: Ticking this option will merge the gender/category columns. When selected, the left column will show the first set of riders and the right column the remaining riders. This is useful if you wish to show a longer results list on a single page regardless of gender or category, or when you have a single gender/category event and wish to make better use of the screen real estate. This option will be selected by default for single gender/category events.
With Consolidated results and Auto scroll selected, the report will cycle through two columns worth of results at a time.
What to do if you don’t have a wifi connection for your laptop
Your laptop will require a data connection to receive live results. If HQ doesn’t have a wifi connection you can tether your laptop to your phone allowing it to connect to the internet as normal and subsequently view the event results. Instructions for both Apple and Android phones are below:
