To enter rider results, you will need a data connection on the device you are using.
A video on how to enter rider results can be found here.
Perform the following:
- Log into ResultSheet from either a mobile device or computer
- From your event list, select the event you wish to enter results for
- Select “Enter Results”
You will then be taken to the Enter Results page. Select the rider you wish to enter the result against and note the “Result Entry Type” field in the popup window.
If the Result Entry Type field is set to Actual Time, populate the fields as follows (ResultSheet will assume blank fields are set to 00):
- HH – the number of hours the rider has taken
- MM – the number of minutes the rider has taken
- SS – the number of seconds the rider has taken
- DD – the number of hundredths the rider has taken if applicable
- DNF status – if the rider didn’t finish, select the appropriate DNF status. This will override the time entered in the HH:MM:SS:DD fields
- Machine type – the type of machine the rider is using. This dropdown will be read-only for Time Keepers but Event Managers and Creators will be able to change the machine type
- Split – the split number of the result you are entering. Leaving this blank will update the finish time
- Comments – include any comments, eg “includes 2 minute late start”
If the Result Entry Type field is set to Watch Time, populate the fields as follows:
- HH – the number of hours on the stopwatch when the rider passed the line
- MM – the number of minutes on the stopwatch when the rider passed the line
- SS – the number of seconds on the stopwatch when the rider passed the line
- DD – the number of hundredths on the stopwatch when the rider passed the line
- DNF status – if the rider didn’t finish select the appropriate DNF status.
If you have previously entered a riders result using Watch Time, you can override the calculation by changing the Result Entry Type to Actual Time and entering their actual result. This will only affect the result being edited and is useful when:
- You have to adjust the result to include a penalty
- The rider has been a reserve and their bib number doesn’t match when they started their ride
Then select “Save” and the result will be recorded and appear in real-time on all reports. Selecting “Cancel” will return you to the rider list.
If you entered the result as Watch Time, the Actual Time will then appear in brackets alongside, offering an easy way to see if the time looks correct. For example, it may show “00:49:34w (00:47:34)” – this means you entered a watch time of 49:34 but the riders actual result is 47:34.
Repeat the process above for all riders you wish to enter results against. Selecting the “Enter Results” header will return you to your events list.
Note: If you are not the main timekeeper and have only been assigned to enter split results, some of the options above may not be visible or read only. You will only be given the option to enter results against splits you have been given access to.
