To save time, start sheets from other sources, eg the CTT, can be imported directly into ResultSheet. To import a start sheet, perform the following:
- Login into ResultSheet on a computer (you can only import start sheets on a computer)
- Select the event you wish to import the start sheet for from the events list
- Select “Manage Startsheet” from the options
- If you have yet to upload any riders to the event you will be presented with the “Upload StartSheet” options. If this isn’t displayed, select “Upload startsheet”
- Follow instructions in the popup windows
Further information on importing results directly from the CTT website can be found here.
Notes if uploading via a file:
- If you have multiple competitions in your event, eg TT Bikes and Road Bikes, you should import start sheets one competition at a time, ensuring you select the correct event from the dropdown menu each time. Once you have uploaded the start sheet for your first competition, repeat the upload process selecting a different competition for each upload
- If this is a CTT event, ensure you enter the CTT Event ID in the box provided for each competition. This is important as it enables ResultSheet to create the result export for sending back to the CTT after the event is complete
- If ResultSheet offers an error saying it doesn’t understand the upload file format, ensure you have saved the start sheet in CSV UTF-8 format
- A warning will be shown if any riders have missing age on day, bike type or classification data. The import should still complete and ResultSheet will automatically set missing classifications to “Open” and missing bike type data to “TT Bike”
- If you make an error uploading the start sheets, just select “Delete Startsheet” from the Manage Startsheet screen and start over
- There is a rider limit for each upload of 100 riders. Just split the upload into multiple files to upload larger fields
